The complex patterns and systems in nature, human behaviour and the built environment form the basis of Rachel's work, as a focus of research as well as within her processes of production. She works in a range of media including printmaking, drawing and sound.
She has exhibited in galleries in Canada, the USA and the UK, including The Royal Academy in London and The National Gallery in Edinburgh. Her work has been acquired by The British Museum in London and The City of Calgary Civic Art Collection. She was Artist in Residence for Watershed+, hosted by the City of Calgary’s Public Art and Utilities and Environmental Protection departments in 2012/13 and was Associate Artist at Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art 2014.
